Neuro-Experiential Brainspotting Therapy

Neuro-experiential practice- Brainspotting is a therapy that is highly effective in treating historical and deep routed trauma that talking therapies are sometimes less equipped to reach. Some trauma is so severely disconnected there are often no words to verbalise and begin the healing journey. Brainspotting facilitates the body and brain to integrate deep routed painful memories enabling healing, to safely take place. Lou uses a trauma informed approach in all areas of her work.

Brainspotting therapy is used to treat a variety of different conditions, including the following:

  • Trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Complex PTSD
  • Addiction and substance misuse disorders
  • Anger issues
  • Depression
  • Chronic pain
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Relationship challenges
  • Phobias
  • Low self esteem

Brainspotting is commonly used with people who have experienced physical or emotional trauma.

Some of the potential benefits of Brainspotting therapy include.

  • Reduced trauma-related symptoms
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Recovery from substance abuse
  • Reduced pain and fatigue
  • Improvements in sports
  • Fewer flashbacks
  • Enhanced creativity
  • Integration and lessened dissociation

‘I am so happy to have found something so profound as a key resource to healing trauma and I feel blessed to be able to facilitate this change as part of others recovery’.
